- 1 mug of yogurt
- 3 mugs of water
- 4 tablespoons of garbanzo flour (besan)
- Salt to taste
- 1/8 tablespoon of turmeric powder
- 1/2 tablespoon of grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 1 or 2 red chili (whole)
- 1/2 tablespoon of cumin seeds
- 1/2 tablespoon of mustard seeds
- 10 fenugreek seeds
- 1/8 tablespoon asafoetida (hing)
- 5 curry leaves
- 1 table spoon chopped cilantro
1. Take and Mix yogurt, water and chickpea flour (there should be no lumps) in a bowl
2. Add salt, turmeric powder, ginger and green chilies
3. Meanwhile turn on the stoves and heat a pan
4. Pour oil into the pan
5. When oil is hot add thyme seed fenugreek seed mustard and cumin seed into the oil in the pan
6. Now add asafetida, curry leaves, ginger and red chili to the oil
7. Pour the mixture of the bowl (that we made) in the hot oil pan
8. Turn heat to medium flame and stir the mixture continuously
9. Reduce flame to low after sometimes
10. Let this mixture boil for few minutes and take it off the stove
11. Your kadhi is ready to serve
