- 200 grams kwati (mixture of nine grains)
- 100 grams boneless chicken (goat meat is preferred)
- 3 tablespoons oil
- Salt to taste
- ½ tablespoon turmeric powder
- ½ tablespoon coriander powder
- ½ tablespoon cumin powder
- ½ tablespoon red chili powder
- 2-3 tej patta (Indian bay leaves)
1. Soak Kwati for a night or for two nights if you want them to be sprouted, and then drain in a cloth for about two days.
2. Heat the pressure cooker over the gas stove and add oil when it's hot. Add some fenugreek and thyme seeds, then add red chili and Kwati.
3. Fry the mixture for few minutes, then add turmeric and salt.
4. Add the small pieces of chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes in the pressure cooker with lid on.
5. Take off the lid once it has reached five whistles, pour into a pan and cook until well done.
