- 1 gallon whole milk (3.8 liters)
- 3 lemons or limes (or vinegar will also work)
- Salt to taste
1. Boil the milk stirring frequently (don’t let the milk burn or stick on the pan).
2. When the milk is boiled, pour lemon juice into it and stir. Boil for another 2-3 minutes.
3. Turn off the heat and allow the boiled milk to cool down.
4. Strain liquid through a white cloth and lift the corners of cloth to squeeze out remaining liquid.
5. Move cloth in such a way that paneer inside gets a shape, or put it in a round bowl/plate for particular shape.
6. Make sure all the water gets drained and put something heavy on the cloth covered cheese for few hours.
7. After a few hours, cut in desired shapes or store in a box and refrigerate until you use it.
