-1 cup garbanzo flour (besan)-1 1/2 cup water + 1 tablespoon-1 1/2 cup sugar-1 tablespoon sliced almonds-6 green cardamom (sukumel)-Oil to deep fry

Method

1. Mix besan flour and water in a bowl, stirring it until there are no lumps.2. Let the mixture sit for 8 minutes.3. In a separate pan, add sugar and 1/2 cup of water over medium heat, stirring constantly until all the sugar has dissolved and the syrup starts to stick to your hand but not too thick.4. Add cardamom to the syrup and mix together.5. Heat oil in a frying pan, checking if it is ready by dropping a small bit of the flour mixture into it - when the mixture floats on top of the oil, it is ready for use.6. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.7. Remove from heat and transfer to the pan with syrup, stirring everything together until fully combined.8. Add sliced almonds and mix again before making ladoo balls out of the mixture.
