- 4-5 potatoes
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 red chili whole
- a pinch of asafetida
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
Method
1. Turn off the stove and heat up a pan.
2. Add oil in the pan.
3. When the oil is hot, add cumin seeds and asafetida followed by red chili.
4. Add potatoes, salt, and turmeric powder. Stir it well.
5. Let it cook for about 10 minutes in medium heat, stirring only once or twice during that time frame.
6. Let it cook for about 5 minutes more, then check if the potatoes are well cooked or not.
7. Serve with rice, roti or chiura.
