- 2 cups of Wheat flour/all-purpose flour (maida)- Salt to taste- 1 cup of Water- 1 spoon of Ghee- Half Liter Cooking Oil

1. Stir the flour and salt in a bowl and add water little by little while kneading.2. Add 1 spoon of hot oil or ghee to the dough. The dough should not be too dry or too wet/soft.3. Make small ball out of it, not too thick or thin size depends upon your frying pans size. Do not let dough sit for longer time as it may harden the dough, use it immediately.4. Roll it into small and medium sized circle.5. Heat oil to fry puri and make sure oil is hot, but not too hot to get smoke. Just drop a small piece of dough to check if the oil is hot enough. The piece of dough will cook and float on the surface immediately when the oil is ready then drop the bread (puri) into frying pan.6. Let it float for a while and turn it to other side to cook both sides until brown then place it on the plate with paper towel to soak extra oil on it.
